Junior Interior Designer

How You Would Contribute:  The Junior Interior Designer will be an integral member of the design team and will assist in all phases of the design and install process. More specifically, the Interior Design Assistant is primarily responsible for:

  • Pricing, purchasing, and confirming lead times for furniture, fixtures, and materials
  • Preparing quotes and estimates
  • Gathering inspiration images for specific projects and studio library
  • Composing mood boards
  • Preparing visually pleasing presentation materials for clients to review selections
  • Updating and maintaining project database, tracker and binders
  • Placing purchase orders and work orders
  • Maintaining vendor relationships
  • Coordinating vendor presentations for new products and materials
  • Shopping at and returning samples to design center
  • Distributing new cool and relevant product information to design teams
  • Managing the day-to-day office duties including filing and organizing fabrics and materials

What You Need to Thrive:  Candidates should be a self-starter that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.  It will be important for the candidate to have excellent attention to detail, time management, and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to pivot as priorities shift.  Ideally, candidates would have the following:

  • 3+ years Interior Design experience
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Demonstrated graphic design skills
  • Familiarity with trade resources and showrooms
  • Ability to travel locally and work some evenings and nights, as needed
  • Work Authorization US (required)
